Debunking iCP Rumors

So, people have been spreading some rumors about iCP, (via YouTube) and I’m here to clear everything up. These answers not only come from me, but they come from the whole iCP staff.

iCP has viruses?

We have said this a million times, and we’ll say it again, iCP isn’t a virus! iCP does not get money from spreading viruses! The only money they get is through advertisements on iCPv3.com, they do not get money from people registering.  And if you would like proof iCP is not a virus, click here.

iCP is illegal?

No, iCP is not illegal. iCP is a parody of Club Penguin, and iCP uses the .swf files on Club Penguin’s server. They do not host their files, or no they claim that they own the content. You are not breaking ”federal law”.

Bullying/Crude acts

We have moderators on iCP making sure this doesn’t happen, and we are implementing a  basic chat filtered server. We do have a safe chat server, so if you do not want to be exposed to this, you do not have to be.

iCP has a backdoor .flv file which will revive information such as your address, phone number, etc?

This is just one of those rumors that is so crazy and farfetched.  There is no backdoor .flv file. If you would like to have proof, you can visit the VirusTotal Scan for iCP.exe here.

Most of these rumors produced are just to scare people away from iCP, for what reasons we do not know why. We spend hours-on-end working on the game, just for you guys to play it for free. And then when people come and just spread false rumors about iCP, saying that it has viruses and such, you can imagine how we feel.
