Some shocking news coming out of PrivateCP. I have just confirmed that it is closing, and they have already taken down the website, and the web-client. They closed due to high server costs, and also because they were afraid of future legal threats by Disney. (they had not received any contact from Disney)
PrivateCP had a great run, they were the first private server to introduce custom items, backgrounds, pins, and even custom rooms, they had thousands of users too – it’s very disappointing to see sure an enthusiastic private server – go offline.
However, I heard that the owners may release the PrivateCP source code – with instructions on how to bring it online on your own server. This could mean that more people could recreate a similar version to PrivateCP. I’ll keep you posted if the Staff does, however decide to release the source.
So what’s left? Well, currently we have ClubPenguinV (web-client) and iCPPS. (download-client) However, I think in the coming months, a lot more private servers will be emerging.

I as the first one here, call dibs on theese files (codes) and instructions. Im not keeping them for myself but if they wanna take them from me ill show this in court.

The codes don’t work. It can be better if the staff gives the source code and gives us instuctions on how to make a Private server to people who don’t know, and the era of Clubpenguin Private Servers can live forever…

I would like to point out OpenCP is Illegal as we (Penguin Safari the original CPPS that used OpenCP [and was made by the Penguin Safari owner]) made contact with Disney and we where demanded to remove the source!
And PrivateCP only used the base of OpenCP!

If we actually made our own personal private servers, we should keep it to ourselves. Private servers will survive as long as it doesn’t get caught. Which is why is says “Private” server. Whether its illegal or not, it has to be kept hidden from the public

My name is Jame. I heard people need help with the OpenCP code? Well, I can try and help.
My friend Flappi, many of you will have known as the owner of Penguin Safari and Club Zobbies gave me these precise instructions.
Setup a database in the config files.
Then run the batch file.
There is a notepad Install guide within it. Use that. You also need PHP and SQL. I would suggest getting XAMPP if you need this. If you want more help contact Flappi on Skype.

ik, ik, the only time you can use private servers is when you have a job and work for it to get money. Or your parents will pay for it. I’m not saying you “need” to get a job to get money for VPS, but you need a job for your life. Work that will put food on your table, and comfort you life. I’m saying that private servers are not free, and you need to pay it to keep it running. You can make a private server or not, your choice

Hey! Sorry that PrivateCP closed everyone.
This is the real Flappi, I’m not an impersonator (contact me on skype: Flappi282 for proof that it’s me).
Anyway, first off, right at the start PS had custom items. We ditched them because they caused lots of problems. The media server was slow, lots of features were missing, and much more errors.

Dude, why would Flappi wan’t to help you?
He made a promise to Lane Merrifield (co owner, owner of CP [AKA Billybob]) that he would never create a CP server again, also he promised not to load CP in Flash ever again.
Since the experience I got from PenguinSafari and Disney’s reaction to it, I think its best not to develop a CPPS anymore, there almost pushed near the suing point!
PCP wasn’t the first to actually HAVE custom items! Penguin Plaza was!
omg im in the middle of making my own cpps its being worked on and there are so many custom rooms and also im making it look like old cp so the plaza doesnt have a stage. im going to name it s.s.p.p.s. super secret penguin private server im making a forum soon and ill give a link to a sneak peak of one of my custom rooms soon
