Hello,
Recently I have been seeing that people are still trying to recreate an iCP by making a iCPv7, or a iCPv8. Now, I like the fact that people are trying to make private servers, but all of these iCP knockoffs aren’t even endorsed by the original iCP maker, and most of them do not go anywhere.
S0, I hope we can all agree on something here: The “iCP Saga” is dead.
We all had some great memories while on iCP, I mean iCPv2, which started it all, and don’t forget iCPv3, which gained more than 100,000 users. We had some great times, but these new private servers claiming to be “iCPv8″, it isn’t the real iCP, it’s just a knock-off. (considering only iCPv2 and iCPv3 were the only iCPs to actually be online for more than a week, and yet they are up to v8 now.)
I’m going to post some screenshots of v2, and v3, which we can all reminisce
over.

Well iCPv8 might be real because it’s owned by Charlie/ross (iCPv3 creator) and we all know charile/ross

I love all the icp downloads, but some were VERY BIG TROUBLE IM MY PC!!! they were fun
First of all, That Charlie has horrible grammar. Secondly, Charles quit Private Servers forever and does not go by “Charlie”. On iCPv8 they also claim “Billybob” is letting them create a CPPS. And Charles wouldn’t use Weebly, We all know Weebly cannot host a CPPS. If you want to continue the debate I’m on Skype Wesley6785.
Roman, just to let you know, it has gone up to iCPv14. It’s pretty annoying considering on how these are all fake. Really, if there were to be another “iCP”, it would be created by “smarter people”. It would also be, iCPv4.

I know it’s not sarcasm. I’ve seen it. It’s pathetic, really. I don’t know what they hope to accomplish by claiming to be part of the “iCP” series.
Also, iCPv8 is not owned by the REAL Ross/Charles. It’s a fake. D;

I agree Roman. Many people have tried to make “iCPv4″ “iCPv5″ “iCPv6″ (the last two went online, just not for long), “iCPv7″ “iCPv8″ (that one claims to have a Mac client, but no Windows client). I hate knowck-offs like that. They lure people in to believing them, then, BOOM. They say “The staff NEEDS to get along! If they don’t, iCPwhatever will end!” Or, “Guys, CP changed there loader and now I can’t find it…” People get on my nerves. So, Roman, I agree with you 100%

It’s unfair for others taking credit for what the original founders created, and trying to pass it off as valid and fun. There’s a limit to how many legitimate versions a game can get, and then it just becomes usual and not original or interesting anymore. This is one of the reasons I enjoy finding different original names that people actually bother putting their hard work, time, and effort into rather than either stealing a name, or using another’s files.
I hope to not see any iCPv# anymore. CPPS can withstand a little longer, but this time (out to all of those people who want to create a CPPSv[something] after the first few end) don’t go crazy with the versions. Think up of an original name, don’t pretend to be someone your not, and don’t steal anyone else’s files. People work hard and put a lot of effort into those and it certainly shows what kind of bad person you are when you take someone else’s files. (End lecture/rant.)

Thanks for posting this. All the others just prove uncreativity (I know it’s not really a real word), and you need creativity for creating one – not just the knowledge of code, MySQL, etc. And the name should be easy – not good with the name, than WHOA!
Plus, some people copy other names other than iCP – like CPPS (There was once a fake private server – but the first private server – to be called CPPS,), iCPPS, and some names were mixed up – like iCPSafari? Or maybe xiCP? (Or was it xCP? Or CPX?). Rubbish, really. Mine, we use a completely different name: (shouldn’t say due to advertising). (If I can say later, reply if I can). Lol, thanks! xD Wow, that was long…. Later!
Oh, yeah, this other annoying private server – iCPv7 (everyone reuses the names – even if they weren’t founder) said “WE HAVE FULL PERMISSION FROM DISNEY TO MAKE A CPPS” and I asked for proof – and I was banned forever on their XAT chat. That’s what I call fake .
A real private server will be made someday, not much people will know. I have all the codes and swfs, but I’m thinking of saving money in the future to make my servers running. But seeing this blog, I don’t know what will happen to the fate of CP Private Servers…
There’s a chance you can make private servers if you move domain and keep it safe.
