Penguin Elite Information

As you all may know, Penguin Elite has shut down.
In order to continue its legacy, I am releasing its source code to the public.
If you use it, please give credits to ZKid for the base and Cooldude170 for the modifications.
You can get it here.
If you received the source yesterday, please re-download it, as I fixed a few bugs.
Also, our staff is beginning a new project, CDevStudios.
If you want to check that out, you can get to that here.
It will revolve around development of games and programs, and we might even be working on a CPPS soon.

  3. D says:

Can you make a video on how to make a private Club Penguin with you’re source? I don’t get it :(

    • Frank says:

He left instructions in the source. *README.txt*

    • Cooldude170 says:

I’m not going to make a video on how to do it, README.txt should be enough.
If you can’t follow that, I suggest you don’t make a server.

      • D says:

        1) Replace config.xml config2.xml config3.xml with your information
        2) Replace config.php information
        3) Install install.sql and edit the table name
        4) Upload to a Linux VPS
        5) Configure a client
        6) screen php login-server.php
        7) screen php game-servers.php
        ——————————
Number 1- I can’t open the config files..

Here it is.(Hello, and welcome to Penguin Elite!
This source was originally created by ZKid (Flappi282) as OpenCP and has been modified to be worked easier by Cooldude170
and fixed to work smoother, and have more features.
So, how do you get this thing up?
      1) Replace config.xml config2.xml config3.xml with your information
      2) Replace config.php information
      3) Install install.sql and edit the table name
      4) Upload to a Linux VPS
      5) Configure a client
      6) screen php login-server.php
      7) screen php game-servers.php
      8) Create an account
      9) Login
You’ll also need to upload log.txt to your root directory on your webserver, and chmod it so nobody can access it. Nothing will be written there, it’s just extra safety.
So, what do I need to know about this source?
      Well, glad you asked!
      The ranks go as so:
      1) Member
      2) Nothing? wat
      3) Mediator
      4) Moderator
      5) Staff leader
      6) Owner
      Could I change these?
Yes, but you would have to edit some commands, unless you want ALL of the staff to have !global !accessadd and !reboot etc…
Can this source be ran on Windows?
It could be, but it is not recommended that you host this on your home computer, just in case of a RAM leak.)

    Hi, I can follow it… But I’m using a webhsot… do i need a VPS?

  5. Frank says:

All I need to do is setup PHPMyAdmin and edit the config files. ;D

  6. Kevo745 says:

Umm… English please? I didnt understand one of those comments.

    • Frank says:

The config files are files in the source. You insert your host, database name, and other stuff.
PHPMyAdmin is used to create a database for the game.

  7. Charlie says:

yes u should make a vid on how, plzzzzzz

  8. seveent66 says:

ITS IN THE READ ME TXT BUT U STILL SHUD MAKE A VID I WUD LOVE IT

  9. Ross says:

The 100 user license limit is illegal… You can’t release somehting under the GPL and then charge to activate already given away features.

  10. James says:

Hi, I have a CPPS, it has around 500 users now, I need to know how to configure the games.
In the penguinelite.php file, there is a line of code that says this:

    public function handleGamePacket($packet, &$user) {
    //No games yet
    }

if I can figure out what to put in the //No games yet comment then that will help me out a lot!
    Thanks.

    ~James
