There’s some shocking news coming out of iCPPS.
One of the owners of iCPPS, Connor was using a version of the iCPPS source which did not encrypt passwords. To make matters worse, Connor was actually trying to sell user’s passwords. He was then just private chatting people and telling them their password, just for fun.
Obviously this is extremely unethical and for a private server user to do this amazes me.
So, if you have registered for iCPPS, even with a very secure password, they can see your password. If you have used a password when registering for iCPPS that you have used before online, change all passwords to which you have used that same password on! They could easily sell this information to someone with bad intents.
And also, because of these unethical practices, CPPSHQ will not longer be posting about iCPPS, so that our users do not register for a private server which sells their password!

Someone who hacks CPPS just to be cool has NO life. It’s a waste of time, and no one would care. There’s nothing important about it, and at the same time, we are at war against Disney. So the mods must get the facts and try to make this situation stable. Make a blog again and set things straight.

I’ve looked into this Roman, if anyone knows for sure and has proof that Connor has sold your passwords, information etc… you can prosecute him as he “sold” personal data, which is to be securely stored by the creator of the project within you registered to.
You’ll have to find out more information for your selves.
Don’t you and the staff have more information than us? Mods always know more than the users.

You should honestly find out if this is true or not. You’re just spreading rumors and that’s extremely immature. And for everyone who thinks they got deleted because of Connor, you’re wrong. They had to delete all players, therefore, your penguin wouldn’t show up. You need to reregister; and if he was giving passwords out, it would be your old password.
I’m certain this is true. Spreading rumors? Read the comments on this post, you’ll see that this actually happened to people. What you do not realize is, many people use the same password for everything online, so even if it’s a password they put in a few days ago, it’s a password they have been using for a while. They probably just cleared the database so that they could encrypt the passwords from the start to attempt to cover their “deeds”.

Have You SEEN the database with the unencrypted passwords? This i think is originally made to encrypt passwords as the original design so why would someone try to get the encryption off? Also he COULD JUST DECRYPT THE PASSWORDS… I need to see more proof, or else I am leaved to believe he decrypted them. (easy to do with md5)
Before Roman or any others blog about a CPPS or issue with a CPPS we always make sure we have it backed up with proof or we know for experience its correct, we do NOT post false information.

I have talked to Connor and Seether myself and they have both DENIED this rumor. They are infact NOT selling your passwords. Please delete this post, it gives you authors a bad reputation to post information like this without valid proof.
2 days ago, Alex made a post on this site basically saying Connor stole his game. It was deleted. Alex then made another post today, which was deleted, claiming iCPPS is selling our passwords. This is obviously just a hoax to make players not play the game.
Of course they are going to deny this. As I’ve said before, read some of the comments for some proof. This has happened to people. I deleted Alex’s post today because it didn’t include all the details, and rather adding editing the post, I thought I’d just make a post.
Connor did steal the iCPPS game basically. The reason why they passwords were not encrypted was because he was using an older version of the iCPPS source which it did not have it implemented yet.
One more thing. Before you start talking about how a cpps is selling passwords, how about mention that some of your authors are hackers?

Also, there was a picture posted on CPPSHQ (It got deleted) by an author, and it had passwords that were unencrypted in the database.
Also, iCPPS’s source doesn’t encrypt anything by default.
